Twist means, among other things, rotation or distortion, but also quarrel or disagreement. In the case of this photo series: it’s not clear what you’re seeing. It can go both ways, depending on your own way of seeing things and the extent to which you can use your imagination while looking at the image.

I capture situations, objects and things that are not what they seem to be or vice versa.


The verb -twisting- also means wrangling different fibers or wires, to make a new thread out of them. Together they form something new. Twisting means in this context, uniting two separate elements into a new one.
