I explore my own surroundings with the help of photography. I do this by observing the interaction between the human being and its surroundings: a self-created and cultivated living space. My main subjects are places and things. The appearance of this living space is a direct product of our own thoughts and actions and is therefore changeable.
We are able to influence how the places and things that surround us look like. These states of being and the changes they are undergoing over time are interesting to investigate. My photo series represent the energy and the traces that are left behind after or during a particular use of that place. I collect evidence of these changes.
