Herbology
I recently started a herbalist study. It’s great to get to know the wonderful world of plants and their versatile possibilities. In the garden of the training institute, even in the autumn time, there is a lot of beauty to see. Besides that, I consider working with soil as a working material a very healthy counterpart for today’s digital life. It’s a very good way to stay grounded.
My new activities can be combined very well with photography, in fact, nature has become even more a source of inspiration for my work than it already was.
Question: there are two species in the photo that do not belong in an ‘ordinary’ farm garden, do you know which ones they are?
Lightpainting
This weekend (the end of october 2021) I finally had the chance to do some lightpainting again and it was fun! The weather was good and the sky was bright. Trees played a main role in the photos.
I made a digital collage of one of the results, combined with a photo made by the Hubble telescope.

Projektstart Zusammenfasern
Mein neues Kunstprojekt Zusammenfasern hat begonnen. Ich werde ein neues Collagekunstwerk mit textilen Materialien erstellen, teilweise mit Hilfe von Interessierte Freilwilliger.

I recently finished a brand new collage: Woestijnvrouw (Desert woman)! At the moment I’m preparing this collage and some other work als well for an exhibition in the Favoritenschloss (a very nice an small castle in the middle of a wonderfol park with old oak trees in the center of Ludwigsburg.

The series is about the guardians spirit of a place. I already made three different ‘spirits’, corresponding with one of the four elements and I’m working on the fourth one. The series is therefore still under construction. To be continued…

The title is inspired bij the opening paragraph of the book “A tale of two cities” by Charles Dickens, first published in 1859.

LOWLAND Magazine
Lowland offers a space for the exchange of artistic positions and realities. It combines magazine and changeable interdisciplinary Artist group. The exchange process takes place in cycles that last several months. During each cycle of the exchange, the participants will have the opportunity to
to open their positions for each other.
Each participant passes one work (Round 1) and then create a work that focuses on the work of another participants responded (round 2). After completion of each cycle, there is a group exhibition and magazine publication, in which the works of all participants are shown.

"Meet The Artists" im Stuttgarter Rathaus
Das Künstlerhaus zu Besuch im Rathaus. Die Werkstätten des Künstlerhauses präsentieren ihre Ausstellung “Künstlerhaus, Stuttgart” bis zum 13. April im Rathaus Stuttgart.
Am 24.03. waren die Künstlerinnen und Künstler persönlich anwesend bei der Veranstaltung “Meet the Artists” für Gespräche und Austausch.

Kuenstlerhausausstellung im Stuttgarter Rathaus
Ausstellung Kuenstlerhausmitgleider im Stuttgarter Rathaus. Dienstag, 7. März bis Donnerstag, 13. April 2017 Künstlerinnen und Künstler, die regelmäßig im Künstlerhaus Stuttgart arbeiten, zeigen einen Querschnitt ihres Schaffens. In den ausgestellten Arbeiten setzen sie sich mit dem Künstlerhaus selbst auseinander, das sich nach seiner Gründung 1978 zu einer international bekannten Institution für Gegenwartskunst entwickelte.
Unterstützt wird die Ausstellung von Kunsthistoriker Dr. Tobias Wall, der beim sogenannten „meet the artists“ am Freitag, 24. März um 18 Uhr eine Einführung in die Ausstellung gibt.

ONE NIGHT STAND #2 MIT FUKS
Am Samstag, den 09.07.2016 nehme ich an einer Gruppenausstellung der FUKS (Freien Un-abhängigen Künstler Stuttgarts) teil. Im einem leerstehenden Laden in Stuttgarter Stadtviertel Hallschlag, werde ich ein temporäres Fotostudio einrichten und dort ‚live’ Stillleben zusammenstellen und fotografieren. Mein Arbeitsmaterial beziehe ich von Bewohnern des Stadtviertels und Ausstellungsbesuch-ern, die gebeten sind mir ein besonderes Objekt, einen Gegenstand oder Stoff zur Verfügung zu stellen. Dieses Material kombiniere ich mit selbstmitgebrachten und gesammelten Stoffen und Gegenständen, um etwas Neues und ortsbezogenes zu kreieren.
Ausstellungsbesucher können selbst auch Teil eines Stilllebens werden. Denn ich habe vor – je nach Situation – auch die Besitzer oder Geber eines Gegenstands in die Aufnahmen zu integrieren. Du bist herzlich eingeladen vorbei zu kommen und eventuell auch etwas mitzubringen.

NEW COLLAGE SERIES
I have been developing some New collage ideas. My inspiration are planets, plants and botanical forms, but also a very interesting book I read from an old Dutch doctor. I have been thinking about some of his theories concerning the evolutionary theory and I kept me busy.
It always helps to let the creativity flow in order to get some answers. To be continued…
